Original WWII Trench Art Ashtray – Crafted from 75mm Brass Shell Casing with an Irish Army Eight-Pointed Star Badge

Brass casing dated 1941 with hand-finished details, WW2 British military era
Features:
This unique vintage ashtray has been crafted from a 75mm artillery shell casing, marked LOT 290 – 1941 – CF – CL/C, and features a central decorative badge with raised emblem – likely Irish military or regimental. A fine example of trench art, possibly soldier-made during or shortly after the Second World War. It offers historical and collector value, as well as a decorative and nostalgic wartime aesthetic.

75 MM The calibre: 75 millimetres. Likely from a QF 75mm M18 field gun shell used in WWII.
CL/C Manufacturer code: Canadian Industries Ltd, Chalk River / Quebec, Canada.
