Antique Indian Brass Cashpot – Circa 1880
A good late 19th century Indian brass cashpot of rounded form, finely hand-engraved with scrolling foliate and floral decoration.
Likely produced in the Moradabad or Benares region of Northern India, the surface is richly ornamented with traditional motifs. The rim is slightly flared, and the base is neatly bordered. The brass has developed a warm, natural patina from age and handling.
A decorative and useful piece, suitable for display or use as a small planter or vessel.
