Description

Antique Silvered Brass Charger – Middle Eastern, c.1900
A finely engraved silvered brass charger, likely of Middle Eastern origin, probably Persian or Ottoman, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century.
The dish features a central rosette with interlacing petals, surrounded by intricate foliate and tear-shaped motifs, all hand-chased in traditional Islamic decorative style. The outer rim is scalloped and decorated in a repeating leaf pattern.
Diameter: 39 cm
Material: Brass with traces of silvering
Condition: Structurally sound. Surface wear and oxidation consistent with age, including areas of verdigris and losses to the silvered surface as shown. A good decorative piece with a clear sense of age and craftsmanship.
