A set of three original signed etchings/engravings by renowned Dutch artist and engraver Petrus Johannes Arendzen.
Petrus Johannes Arendzen (1846–1932) was born in Amsterdam and trained as an eminent etcher before moving to England in 1873. Commissioned by the Dutch Government, he was tasked with reproducing Dutch masterpieces held in English collections. His work is held in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, and other major institutions.
These three works depict atmospheric interior scenes after Dutch Golden Age painters such as Gabriel Metsu, and similar masters, with exceptional detail and tonal depth.
Condition: All three prints are in good antique condition with light age toning and are presented in matching vintage frames. Please see photographs for details.
