Description
Large heavy weight rosewood and silver walking stick or cane. The pommel to the top is silver, hallmarked for Birmingham with the date letter for 1900 and makers mark for George Loveridge & Co of Spencer Street, Birmingham. Right at the heart of the jewellery quarter. Engraved to the top with the initials BH. Really heavy cane at 422 grams. The weight comes from a dense rosewood shaft. The grain pattern is very dark but does show better in natural sun light. The ferrule is cast brass. It measures 93.2 cm 36 11/16 inches in length, the pommel is 3.8 cm 1 1/2 inches wide and 3.8 cm 1 1/2 inches long. It's in excellent condition for it's age with only some very minor signs of age and use as you can see in the pictures. Some minor dinks to the silver but no holes or splits and no repairs. The shaft has no damage or repairs just marks commensurate with age. Perfect for an every day cane. Please contact us with any questions you may have.
