Description

For your delight is this splendid Art Deco vase designed by Bessie Newbery for Royal Doulton. With a glossy green translucent ground, the upper body is decorated with stylised lily-of-the-valley flowers. I would estimate it was made in the early 1920s. Newbery was one of Royal Doulton's most famous designers and she worked for the pottery between 1882 and 1924. Here initials are incised into the underside foot rim.
This vase is a large one and measures about 10 inches tall. It weighs a total of 872 grams. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks. A couple of firing flaws such as a burst air bubble on a couple of the leaves, otherwise minor wear only to the underside foot rim. I will ship this lovely vase for free within the UK.
