Victorian Hand Painted Portrait Tile in Original Frame – c.1880
Offered for sale is a decorative late Victorian portrait tile depicting a finely painted image of a young lady in Georgian-style attire with bonnet and ribbon. Executed in delicate pastel tones with soft detail to the face and clothing.
Set in its original period wooden frame with chamfered inner edge and panelled back.
English, circa 1880.
Frame measures: 23.5 x 23.5 cm
Condition:
Tile in good decorative condition. Minor surface wear and light age-related spotting. Wooden frame with some marks and wear as expected with age. Ready to hang.
