Description

A lovely antique dinner gong dating from the early 20th century. It is excellent quality with an ornate metal frame painted gold. The large brass gong is suspended in the centre and the frame stands on scrolling feet. A large wooden handled beater hangs on the side of the frame and there is an old engraved name on the top of the brass gong "H.Bottomley".
It is in very good condition for its age. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and displays very well. There are some minor signs of age and use, some tarnishing on the brass and some minor paint losses but nothing detrimental. The beater is in good condition and most importantly it makes a very satisfying and loud 'gong'!
