Description
A good example of a late 19th / early 20th Century technical drawing set contained within its original fitted rosewood box. The box is good quality with a brass inlaid escutcheon and a fitted velvet lined interior. The box has two layers and the top tray contains 11 individual steel and brass instruments and accessories fitted inside the case. The top layer lifts out to reveal more storage space below with a few additional items such as rulers. The whole set is in good condition for its age. It has obviously been well looked after and all the instruments are in good condition. There is some minor wear and light tarnishing / rust on some of the metal parts but nothing detrimental. The rosewood box is in good condition with just some light marks and a couple of small chips but overall it displays very well. Approximate Measurements: Height : 2" / 5cm Width : 8 1/4" / 21cm The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
