Description

Dating to the mid 20th century, this handsome double Ram’s head torque bangle is in lovely vintage condition and ready to be worn. Ram's head bangles, popular in ancient Greek and Viking jewellery, symbolize virility, strength, and fertility. In Greek mythology, the ram is associated with Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, and is also linked to the Golden Fleece, representing power and leadership. The ram's head design on bangles can also be seen as a protective amulet.
Maker: Struck with the Continental high silver standard 900 mark, probably Austrian c 1960
