Description

A stunning silver plated biscuit barrel from the turn of the Victorian era. The goblet shaped body is extensively decorated in spot hammered design with stylized flower sprays in the Arts & Crafts taste . The barrel stands on three shaped hoof feet. The lid is finished in the same style and there is a shaped swing handle. A superb piece, as decorative as it is practical. Dimensions below.

Marks :- Triple deposit (denoting high quality plating), Mappin & Webb's Princess Plate. London & Sheffield.
