Description

For sale is this attractive hand-carved folk art walking stick with gaming symbols for the four card suits carved onto the shaft, as well as a six-pointed star and ribbon decoration. I believe it was carved in the first part of the 20th century, possibly around 1920 or a bit earlier. It measures about 37 inches in length and weighs about 180 grams. The condition of the stick is quite good. The brass ferrule shows signs of wear on the underside; the shaft has some varnish loss and scratching. Otherwise minor wear only.
