Description

For sale is this attractive Japanese carved bamboo walking stick. I believe it was made at the end of the 19th century or the beginning of the 20th. It has developed a lovely dark patina. Hand-carved elements in the shaft include birds and leaves. The walking stick measures about 34 1/2 inches in length. The ferrule on the cane is made of brass. The shaft is approximately 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Condition is good with a small split below the pommel. The ferrule is bent and dented on the underside. Otherwise minor wear and tear only from handling. Please feel free to ask questions; I usually get back to you quickly.
