Subject: A charming historic view of a timber-framed courtyard with tiled roofs and a female figure at work, with the iconic towers of York Minster rising in the background. This is a finely detailed architectural study, typical of the late 19th to early 20th century taste for recording old York street scenes.
Approximate age of artwork: Circa 19th Century
Is the artwork Framed or Mounted: Mounted on backing card (unframed).
Condition Report: The watercolour remain detailed and atmospheric, with some age toning and handling marks as expected from 19th century works on paper. Please see photographs for full condition.
