Description

This is a good quality Chinese hardwood prayer gong with silver inlaid detail in super order dating from around 1900. The well carved frame is substantial in size and features a central pagoda design flanked by birds with inset black glass eyes as well as deer to the base stylishly carved and again having glass inset eyes.
The solid bronze gong suspended centrally has a cast design of a large dragon encircling the bell.
A really impressive piece in nice original condition.
The gong measures 48 cms high 28 cms wide by 10 cms deep.
