Description

A Victorian oak rope twist ships barometer by Springate Ltd of Southampton in superb original condition, fully serviced and working c.1885. The turned solid oak case with carved rope twist design border. Aneroid movement sat behind a porcelain dial with ornate coloured script to the weather predictions plus markers name to the lower half. Bevelled edge glass viewing window with central reading marker, mounted in a brass bezel. Presented in excellent condition, fully serviced and in full working order.
