Description
Fine Antique Silver and Cut Glass Inkwell c.1916 A handsome and well-proportioned antique inkwell of good weight, featuring a finely cut glass body and a silver-mounted collar with hinged lid. The lid is inset with a mottled panel bordered by a delicate silver rim, lending an understated touch of refinement. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1916, with maker’s mark C&N for Cohen & Nathan. The glass body is beautifully made, with deep diamond-cut decoration to the base and lower sides, and smooth chamfered panels above creating a clear optical play of light. The hinged silver lid closes neatly and remains well fitted. Measures 8 x 8 x 9 (height) cm Good antique condition. Minor nibbles to the glass and light age-related wear to the silver consistent with use. Hinge and lid secure. All items offered by Treasure Trove Worcester Ltd are carefully selected for their authenticity, decorative appeal, and period character. We specialise in antique and vintage pieces sourced with a knowledgeable eye, and we aim to provide accurate descriptions and detailed photographs for every item.
