Description

A fine quality late 19th century Dutch silver miniature toy dining chair with barley twist legs, stretchers and back frame. An imitation cast rush patterned seat and the back panel is embossed with a romantic scene of a courting couple, him seated on a bench and her standing with a fan held to her face. Dutch silver export mark to the back panel and full English import marks for Sheffield 1893, importer Samuel Boyce Landeck. There are also various marks to the base. 
It measures 5.3cm (2 1/8") high, 2.5cm (1") wide and 2.2cm (7/8") deep and weighs 14g / 0.5ozt.
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and it stands well. Minor handling wear; the marks are fine and clear.
