Description

A very nice Georgian Sterling Silver and gilt Vinaigrette hallmarked for Birmingham 1819 by makers William Postans & George Tye. They were registered in 1819 so this is a very early piece of theirs.
Opening to reveal a gilded flower head pierced grille. The exterior with roundels / bubble design to the lid & a beautifully engraved flowerhead design to the base.
Measuring 2.8 cm x 2 cm and weighs 8.7 grams.
In very good antique condition, internal gilding still good, hallmarks good, vacant cartouche, a few small dings & scratches all commensurate of age and use.
