Description

Gents 1950s Helvetia automatic wrist watch.
The watch has a 25 jewel automatic movement, a Helvetia 837, which is working nicely. As with many Helvetia watches, it is wound anti-clockwise to charge up the automatic movement.
The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is chromium plated while the screw-on case back is stainless steel. There is a little wear and marking to the chrome plate. The screw-on case back states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.
The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, a centre seconds hand and outer minute markers. It is also signed with the name of the original retailer, H Samuel.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
