Description

This is a finely turned  English 18th century lignum vitae pounce pot. The lid unscrews for refilling the pounce. The lid is shaped like a saucer so that any unused pounce could be poured back onto the lid. A very minor repaired chip to the rim.
These English pounce pots where the lid unscrews are the more difficult ones to find.
