Description

An early Victorian Sterling Silver and gilt Vinaigrette by William Simpson, Birmingham 1840.
A stunning Victorian silver gilt vinaigrette, of rectangular form, beautifully engraved to lid and base.
The hinged cover opens to reveal a gilt interior, with a pierced hinged grille, fully hallmarked to the interior. Initials to the rectangular cartouche to lid.
Measuring approximately 2.5 cm x 1.5 cm and weighs approximately 7.6 grams.
In very good antique condition, hallmarks are good, gilding is still bright. Usual signs of wear all commensurate of age and use.
