Late Victorian Silver Plated Serving Tray
Roberts & Belk, Sheffield (R&B), EP, Pattern 5600
A good quality late Victorian/Edwardian rectangular silver-plated serving tray by Roberts & Belk of Sheffield. The tray has canted corners and a well-defined repoussé border with repeating shell and scroll decoration, surrounding a raised central field.
Marked to the reverse R&B, S EP, with the genie (Aladdin’s lamp) trade mark and pattern number 5600, indicating Roberts & Belk manufacture and electroplated finish.
Measures 32.5 × 26.5 cm.
In good antique condition overall, showing surface scratches and light wear to the plate consistent with age and use.The decorative border remains crisp, and the tray has a good weight and sits flat.
