Description
A good example of a set of 6 antique butter knives with sterling silver handles and silver plated blades. They are good quality pieces with pistol grip shaped handles and decorative details engraved on the blades. Each piece is fully hallmarked for Sheffield, 1919 and the maker Yates Bros. They are in very good condition for their age. The handles have a few minor dents and dinks on and there is some minor wear around the edges of the blades however they display well as a set. They have been gently cleaned and polished and are ready for use. The set comes in its original fitted box with a velvet and silk interior. The box is in very good condition with a tidy interior and just a few light scuffs and marks around the edges but nothing detrimental. Approximate Measurements : Length of Knife : 6 1/1" / 16.5cm Box : 8” / 20cm x 7" / 18cm The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
