Description
A lovely antique silver vanity set in its original fitted case. This small set was commonly given as a Christening gift. It is a stylish and good quality set with pretty Art Nouveau style detailing. Each piece is hallmarked with the Medusa's Head hallmark for French silver and a maker's mark for Stephane Prudhomme. It dates from the early to mid 20th Century. The set is in very good condition. There are some minor signs of age and use, some small dinks and surface marks and a small split on the seam of the comb but nothing detrimental and no damages to the glass. They have been lightly cleaned and polished and are ready for use. The box is good quality with a silk lining and fitted velvet base. The retailer's mark "R.Saintot. Bijoutier. NIMES" is below the lid. There are some minor marks and some small scuffs around the outside but nothing major and it displays well.
