Description

An attractive and unusual antique Victorian footstool or fender stool dating form circa 1860. Measuring 112cm or 3ft7 long, the upholstered seat pad is set at a raked angle and it stands on short carved cabriole legs in solid oak. The frame is shaped at the front and has carving around the edges and to the legs, the drop in seat pad is upholstered in a cream fabric with an embroidered leaf pattern. The joints are solid and sturdy, the frame with good original colour and patina.

Good condition, solid and sturdy. Wear, marks, scuffs and scratches commensurate with age. Clean fabric, recently upholstered.
