Description

An unusual silver 'wheel' pin cushion, dating from the Victorian era. This charming example is of circular form, with pierced silver panels to the front and back. Sandwiched in between, is the pincushion padding and it is finished with an attaching ring for a fob or chatelaine chain. Each side depicts cherubs playing in a garden and is in the Rococo taste. A delightful and rare collector's piece. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Excellent, with no dents, splits or holes. The pin cushion pad is original and is worn, commensurate with age and use.
Date :- B'ham 1889.
Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.
Maker :- Levi & Salaman.
Diameter :- 3.4 cms.
Depth :- 1 cm.
Height :- 4 cms. (to top of ring).
