This is a good quality 19th-century English Staffordshire Pottery Toby Jug, modelled in the form of a seated Georgian Gentleman holding a jug.

He is wearing a wide-brimmed black Tricorn, a blue jacket, a cream waistcoat and black shoes.

The piece is hand-painted in shades of yellow, blue and brown.
