Description

Stunning large Victorian silver handled button hook with a wonderfully detailed winged creature. A beautiful example of detailing and an unusual bird make this a brilliant gift for someone that collects button hooks or interesting silver items.
 
There are full hallmarks for Birmingham 1888 Horton & Allday which can be seen just above the join with the button hook section.
 
Condition: In good antique condition. There is a small ding on the beak and the steel hook is ever so slightly bent at the end.
 
Measurements: Length: 35 cm (steel hook 23 cm long) Weight: 123 grams
