Description
This 19th century game is complete with its cards, instruction, eight special dice, dice shaker, hammer, and counters all housed in a wooden box with the original label on the lid. Any number of persons may play at this Game. Each player throws the six dice which are numbered, and he who throws the highest number becomes Cashier during the Game. Each player has a certain number of counters given him, and each contributes four counters to the pool. The Cashier now takes the Hammer in his hand, and puts the five cards up for sale, one at a time, and the player who bids the highest number of counters, has that card knocked down to him. the produce of the sale being added to the pool.. The eight dice are to be placed in the dice-box, and thrown by each player in rotation (according the numbers originally thrown), the Cashier commencing. If the dice turn up all blanks, each player pays one counter to the owner of the White Horse. If the Bell or the Hammer, or both of them, turn up, and all the remaining dice are blanks, the holders of such cards pay one counter to the owner of the White Horse. It the Bell or the Hammer, or both of them, turn up, with a number on one or more of the other dice, the Cashier is to pay a like number of counters from the pool to the owners of such cards. If a player throws blanks and numbers only, the Cashier pays him from the pool whatever the latter amount to. The aim is to accumulate the most counters. Own a piece of history
