Description

A stunning Worcester porcelain teacup and saucer, Barr period, c.1800, with a large ring handle. Decorated with a sophisticated band of burnt orange enamel, reserving trailing vine leaves, thickly edged and detailed in gilt. Further gilt bands sandwich the frieze, around the foot and to the sides and spine of the handle. Incised B mark to both pieces.
The cup measures 6.3cm (2 1/2") high and 8.3cm (3 1/4") rim to rim and the saucer is 14cm (5 1/2") wide.
In excellent condition with no damage or repair and only minor handling wear.
