Description

Antique wine-glass cooler. Rare red double lipped wine-glass cooler. Polished pontil to underside of base English c1840.
Rim dia: 10.6 cm.
Base dia: 9 cm.
Weight: 407 grams.
Condition: Very good.
Note: A wine-glass cooler was used to cool the bowl of a wine glass. The bowl was filled with iced water and the glass suspended by its foot from the lip on the side of the rim. Red wine glass coolers are rare.
