Description

A very nice Victorian Sterling Silver and gilt oval shaped with curved edge Vinaigrette by makers Deakin & Francis, hallmarked for Birmingham 1897, marking Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.
Opening to reveal a gilded pierced grille. Hanging loop.
Measuring 4.5 cm x 2.5 cm and weighs approximately 22.3 grams.
In good antique condition, hallmarks are very good, gilding still bright. A few small dings, surface scratches, marks. The grille shuts down well, the case closes but pops open leaving a small gap of 1mm. Usual signs of wear all commensurate of age and use.
