From the Estate of the Clockhouse in Essex (see attached photos).
The Traité complet de l'anatomie de l'homme (Complete Atlas of Human Anatomy and Surgery), produced by French physician Jean-Baptiste Marc Bourgery and illustrator Nicolas Henri Jacob between 1830 and 1854, is a foundational, 8-volume masterpiece of medical literature. It is renowned for combining meticulous scientific detail with high-quality artistic illustration, covering descriptive, surgical, and microscopic anatomy, along with embryology.
