Sunset Antique Watercolour Painting Fishing on The North Tyne Signed Original
Brief Description:
This is a beautiful, late 19th-century landscape watercolour painting depicting a lone fisherman sitting on the bank of the River North Tyne during a tranquil evening at sunset.
Circa 1880-1890.
Painted by listed British artist J. Wait Clark (Act c. 1880-1900)
Titled on a label verso: ''On the North Tyne Nr Bellingham.''
The wonderful image portrays the fisherman wearing a rimmed hat and pullover.
He is surrounded by the majestic countryside, with ancient trees and the winding river.
The piece is in wonderful original condition, and it is mounted within its original 19th-century gilt and glazed frame.
