Description
An elegant French Regency style candlestick converted to a table lamp, dating from the early 20th Century. The candle holder sits above acanthus leaves and foliate casting and the main body is an ebonised tapering and fluted column. Beneath it is further brass casting in the form of acanthus leaves with three animalistic feet standing on a marble base. It has been converted to an electric table lamp and re-wired with a brass bayonet bulb holder. It is in working order and has been PAT Tested for electrical safety. The lamp is in good condition with a lovely patina. There are some minor marks, some tarnishing and general signs of age use but nothing detrimental. There is a small crack in the marble base but it is strong and sturdy and still displays well. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use. Approximate Measurements: Height : 16 1/2" (42cm) Base Diameter : 6 1/2" (16.5cm) The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask.
