This is one of a group of rare & original Mid-19th Century 'wanted' posters collected by a local elderly gentleman - during his life-time he accumulated a vast collection of social history linked to Dorking - Surrey & Horsham - West Sussex.
Five Pounds Reward in 1845 is approximately £600 in today's £££
When considering the original function and age of the poster it is in remarkably good condition. We have had the poster professionally framed and mounted - an off white mount with a solid light oak frame and backed with acid-free board. There is a wire for hanging the poster already fixed to the reverse.
