Description

A decorative early 19th century hand-painted Spode shallow dish of unusual oval form with serpentine sides which are balanced with a pair of gilt handles at each end. This beautiful dish is hand-painted in imari colours with finely detailed gilding showing a display of flowers and foliage on each side. This piece is in very good condition but shows very slight wear to the gilding. Circa 1830
