Description

A pretty Worcester porcelain dessert dish / shallow bowl with a blue scale ground and mirror and vase shape reserves decorated in the Japanese style in a kakiemon palette with garden floral scenes and one panel with a wheatsheaf. All reserves ornately framed in gold and with a gilt rim. Fretted square mark, c.1770.
It measures 18.8cm (7 3/8") wide and 3.8cm (1 1/2") high.
Condition is fair and it displays well. It has a partial hairline that extends from the rim and spirals around the centre. This has been professionally stabilised. There is also a small chip to the rim. Very light surface wear, just very minor wear to the gilt at the rim.
