Description

This is a superb, sifter spoon by William Eaton, London, 1837 - and at nearly 80 grams it has been made from a substantial gauge silver. This piece is double struck in the King's pattern and has a diamond heel. It was likely to have been made for a bishop's or archbishop's palace, as it has an engraved mitre below the shell motif. The sifter spoon is in excellent, antique condition, with no damage or repairs. The hallmarks are clear. The maker's mark is a little rubbed but readable
