Description

This is an exquisite Edwardian, Art Nouveau, silver, menu holder, name or place setting holder, made by Henry Matthews, Birmingham in 1909. A good quality piece, it features a beautifully cast lady from the period, striking a pose, her long hair forming a part of the sinuous decoration around her. It is in excellent antique condition, with no damage, losses or repairs. The hallmarks are crisp and clear. I have only ever seen one other like it - a real collector's item.
