Description

This elegant solid silver tea strainer is dated Sheffield 1954 and bears the hallmarks of The Cooper Brothers & Sons Ltd, prolific silversmiths. The scalloped bowl exquisitely pierced. The extremities with two brackets allowing the strainer to rest on its base. Simple Old English pattern handle. The matching bowl fully hallmarked.

On both bowl and strainer.
CB&S for the Cooper Brothers
Sheffield Assay Mark.
Lion Passant.
Date letter "M" for 1954.
