Description

This beautiful bar brooch is stylised very much in the manner of the aesthetic period.
This was a movement in the late 19th century whose mantra was “art for arts sake”
This brooch is beautifully engraved with delicate flowers it has a central inlaid Ruby and two tiny seed pearls flanking it. It still has its guard chain attached.
In the interest of providing as accurate description as possible thisbrooch has a small gold framing bobble missing, however I have not attempted to replace this as I feel a later addition may detract from the overall story, social history and delicate beauty of this piece
