Description

A late Victorian silver trefoil candlestick or candleholder with clear hallmarks for Chester 1893 and makers initials for L.B, (possibly L Bennet & Co before that company became incorporated). The candlestick is typically known as a chamber stick, to accompany its owner at night. The trefoil dish is surrounded by a deep silver rope twist border, repeated on the rim of the sconce and the finger ring. The silver sconce separates easily (though does not have a separate hallmark). A delicate delightful piece in excellent condition.
