Description
A nice example of an original laboratory stand dating from the late 19th / early 20th century, complete with some of its original bottles and equipment. The stand itself is made from mahogany and it has a drawer in the base which has a couple of old pieces of medical equipment in. The stand has a row of test tube holders and a row of larger holes at the front which has an oil burner and a couple of measuring beakers in. At the back of the stand are 5 compartments which contain various beakers and bottles. The stand has brass carrying handles and a maker's plaque for "S.Maw Son & Sons". It is in good condition for its age. There are some signs of age and use around the stand, some marks and stains and a couple of old repaired splits but no major damages and it is strong and sturdy. There are no major damages to any of the glass bottles or items, just some nibbles and small chips around the tops of some of them but nothing serious. The stand is not complete and some of the bottles and accessories may not be totally original but it still displays very well. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions just ask. Tracked UK Delivery £15
