Description

A handsome antique Georgian mahogany night stand or bedside table with drawer dating from circa 1800. Featuring a moulded top over an open shelf above a single frieze drawer with brass pull handle. It stands on four elegantly square legs united by shaped cross stretcher. With wonderful colour and patina, a Georgian period piece that would work equally well as a bedside cabinet as it would next to a desk or as a lamp table.

Mahogany

Condition Report:
Good condition, solid and sturdy. Good colour and original patina. Various marks and wear commensurate with age. Originally a washstand, the top has cut outs for bowls and the top has been added later to make it a more practical table. One of the legs is warped inwards, but doesn’t effect its stability (see photos).
