Georgian rummer. Rummer the bucket bowl engraved band of thistles and ‘Consul Won the Newcastle Gold Cup Beating Five Others 1820’
Rim dia; 8.7 cm.
Foot dia: 7.3 cm.
Weight: 262 grams.
Condition: Very good.
Note: Newcastle Gold Cup 22nd June 1820 Consul was the favourite at 5/4 and defeating the rummer-up Gonsalvi.
Consul was foaled in 1816, he was a 4 year old actively dominating the major North Country tracks during the 1820 racing season.
