Description

Beautiful Vintage Miniature Oil Portrait Painting of an Elegant Victorian Lady
Brief Description:
This is a beautiful original mid-20th-century miniature Oil on Panel Portrait Painting, depicting an elegant young lady dressed in fashionable 19th-century Victorian-style attire.
This delightful composition portrays a graceful young woman with finely painted facial features, rosy cheeks and dark hair, beautifully arranged with delicate rose-coloured ribbons.
She is dressed in a magnificent turquoise-green gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline, complemented by an elegant black lace-trimmed shawl and long, delicate gloves.
The young lady holds a slender folding fan close to her face, whilst her other hand rests gracefully upon a small cream-coloured accessory.
The figure is beautifully presented against a softly atmospheric landscape, with distant greenery and an attractive warm-toned sky.
The painting is housed within a superb, substantial gilt-and-silver-toned moulded frame, featuring decorative inner ornamentation and an attractive aged patina.
Please note: We also have a beautiful companion miniature portrait painting available separately, depicting another elegant young lady in a green bodice and rose-coloured skirt.
The two paintings share the same style of presentation and matching decorative frames, making them particularly appealing as a complementary pair.
They are available to purchase individually.
